Rock On Report

Trip Summary

The Rock On Report! Stripers AKA “Rockfish†Topwater!! That is the ticket in the middle Bay. The Rockfish are shallow and spread out thru the rivers and main stem of the Bay. Rocks near deeper water seem to be the best. Zarr spooks, Mirrolure topwater, or any pencil popper are working. We have had some successes with.1/4 -1/2oz G-Eye jigs with 3â€-4†Z-Man paddle tails, working them over and around a structure that has CURRENT. Perch Docks… Docks… Docks… The bigger ones are there. Some are on the oyster beds, but docks throwing small rattle traps, or spinner baits have gotten the best fish. Spot SMALL Ones .. In normal areas. Nothing really big yet. The small ones are “rock fish candy†Try fishbites or small cut pieces of squid. Bloodworms are off the charts in cost. Blues and Mackerel A few blues have made it up but have not caught any “Macs†yet. Rock On Charter Fishing.
